INFECTION CONTROL IN THE DENTAL PRACTICE
Our infection control course is designed specificly for your surgery and has a focus on helping your practice meet the requirements of ASNZ 4187 – Managing Infection Control in an Office Surgery.
This course will clarify for the dentist, managers and all the team what is essential in ensuring the threat posed by blood borne infections, and more importantly, by the ESKAPE pathogens is properly managed.
The course takes 3-4 hours and is customised to fit your practice needs.
Practices completing the course will receive Safe Method Cleaning Tools that can be adapted to your surgery. All team members recieve a Statement of Attendance for the course and dentists and other dental professionals can claim points for their CPD records.

Management of Medical Emergency Course

Our course also satisfies Standard 1.8.3 which requires practices to show “systems exist to escalate the level of care when there is an unexpected deterioration in health status”. Cynergex ME course covers the strategies and evidence for this standard.

The course takes 5 hours and is delivered Australia wide.
Alternatively, individual dentists can attend a one day centralised course under the auspices of the State Branches of the Australian Dental Association.
The course covers CPR, first aid and advanced life support.
- Threat assessment allowing the identification of the most likely medical emergencies in the dental practice
- The latest scientific developments underpinning medical practice in emergencies
- Basic life support (CPR and Use of Defibrillators)
- Use of advanced airway techniques and equipment
- Drug therapy in anaphylaxis, asthma, hypoglycaemia and cardiac conditions
Participants receive a Statement of attendance at the Management of Medical Emergency Training in a Dental Practice which covers CPR and CPD points for dental professionals.
