Medical Emergency Guidelines for Dental Practices

These Therapeutic Guidelines are designed to be used as an aide memoire in the management of emergencies in dental practice. They use flow diagrammes and easily read dot point formats to guide practitioners in delivering up-to-date care to their patients.  They are specifically developed for use in dentistry and are derived from the hospital and ambulance guidelines issued by state and territory departments of health in Australia and from international guidelines relating to emergency care.

The guidelines are regularly updated against the most recent scientific findings the most recent being the integration of the ANZ Thoracic Society’s guidance on the therapeutic use of oxygen.  They are approved by Cynergex Group’s  medical and dental reference panel.
